24n24 Event Supporter

If you’ve landed on this page, chances are that you may be interested in supporting the event as a volunteer during the event weekend. If so, we thank you sincerely. If it wasn't for you, we could not have this event! Here’s how event support volunteering works:

WOD Crew: We need help setting up and taking down after each workout. We also need help in timing, logistics and coordination, Twitter updates, music, etc. WOD Crew members will have some advanced knowledge of the WODs, which will enable them to provide optimal support. There will be opportunities to serve on the WOD crew from one to many (or all!) WODs.

Athlete Care Crew: Massage and Physiotherapy. Please contact Stefan Müller if you are interested or if you have a contact that could help.

Food & Entertainment Crew: home-cooked food and treats would be very welcome! Also, live music and DJs. If you have ideas or contacts, please let us know and get involved!

Media and Marketing: If you’ve got press contacts or would like to help with media in any way, please contact info@crossfitzuerich.ch and we’ll connect you with the Marketing Team.

Cheering Crew: Dropping by to cheer and motivate is great -- if possible, please also bring a little food or snacks for the athletes. For virtual supporters (anywhere in the world), during the event, please reply to Tweets or post on the CFZ Facebook Wall to send support to the athletes and on-site supporters. They’ll love it!

Sign-up sheets for WOD supporters will be posted at CFZ in November. If you would like to take a leadership or co-leadership role in any of these teams or if you already have commitments from people to help with food, entertainment, media, etc., please email info@crossfitzuerich.ch. Please note that you don't have to be a CFZ Member to be an event supporter!

2011 CrossFit Zürich 24-in-24 Challenge: a Unique Charity Event for the Face-to-face AIDS Project in Malawi

CrossFit Zürich is hosting on December 3rd, 2011 a 24-hour charity event to help youth groups in HIV & Poverty-stricken Villages in Malawi. It is in partnerhsip with the Face-to-Face AIDS Project, a non-profit organization that is working to offer a holistic, culturally sensitive approach to nurturing fundamental, long-lasting improvements in the poorest rural communities.

Quick Facts:

24n24 Donors and Sponsors

If you’ve landed on this page, chances are that you may be interested in making a donation or in becoming a corporate sponsor. If so, we thank you sincerely! Here’s how donations and sponsorship works:

First, feel free to learn more about the project.

Donor

  • You can donate on site during the event or online. If you use the online donation, please reference CrossFit Zurich in the submission form.
  • Note that each athlete who participates is required to raise 24 CHF per WOD. For Full-24 Athletes, that’s 576 CHF. If you know a CrossFit Zürich athlete who is participating, you may want to sponsor them for one or more workouts. We’ll post athlete profiles for all Full-24 members in November, so you can also read about an athlete and help them out with a sponsorship toward their 24x24 requirement!
  • You may also give an open donation at any amount that you choose. Please take advantage of any matching donation programs that your employer may offer.

Corporate Sponsor

  • Whether it’s for goodwill or for a combination of goodwill and marketing, there are opportunities for corporate involvement.
  • Levels at CHF 250/500/1000+. Names and banner marketing to be posted on our website and referenced in social media updates. There are also product placement opportunities.

Filming & documentary potential: CrossFit Zürich will produce a video for this event and is exploring a professional film project focused on a visit to Malawi to take a leadership role in the community outreach Football/Netball Tournament.

A video series would be expected to be well received within the global CrossFit community as a positive example of not only the extreme endurance challenge, but more importantly, the connection between the challenge and doing charitable work for others. It will be submitted for publication consideration on the CrossFit main site and other outlets. In addition, we will be utilizing social media in the days leading up to the event and throughout the 24 hours to create a buzz and draw attention to the event. We're looking for sponsors interested in product placement via this video and in corporate donations to support the charity.
