Yesterday the first workout of the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games was announced. The CrossFit Games are the world’s premier test to find the Fittest on Earth™.
The Games season is broken up into three stages. The first step is the Open, a worldwide, inclusive, five-week competition that kicks off 27th of February. Want to participate? More info is available here.
The top athletes from the Open in each of the 17 regions around the world will qualify for the second stage of the competition, the Regionals, a three-day, live competition.
The season culminates in the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games. At the Games, thousands of participants will be whittled down to around 100 of the fittest men and women in the world.
The games are open to everybody, beginner or top level athlete, you can all participate. There was some confusion about the workouts and how the programming will look like during the next five weeks, so here again the program for the next five weeks February 27 to March 27:
Saturdays from 11-14 you have three options, priority in the following order:
1. Open workout for registered athletes with official judging
2. Open workout for not registered members as the WOD, no judging, scaling allowed
3. small open gym area or small group class (11 and 12) with one coach
In case you are a registered athlete and need to do the Open workout other than Saturdays, you have the possibility to do the workout friday morning, lunch or 4pm open gym but you will have to find a judge yourself. For that we kindly ask everybody who passed the judges course to send an email to email@example.com so that we can put together an list of all offical judges in case somebody needs one other than Saturdays.
