- Make sure to be on time. Depending on your heat you should be at the gym no later than 10:00, 11:00 or 12:00
- Before arriving to the gym, review the workout and decide whether you would like to perform the Rx’d or Scaled version
- Each of the three sessions will begin with a quick explanation of the movement standards. However, it is highly recommended to review the movement standards in advance to avoid no reps
- Be ready and warmed up to perform the workout at the time indicated in the heat list
Alongside with the CF Open, Reebok CrossFit Zürich will host its internal CrossFit competition, the RCFZ Open Throwdown.
On every Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 we will offer you a great opportunity to compete head to head against a friend, test your fitness or just have a lot of fun, while performing the 2017 CrossFit Open workouts under the watch of a certified judge. A registration for the 2017 CrossFit Open is recommended but not necessarily required in order to participate in the RCFZ Open Throwdown. To register for the RCFZ Open Throwdown you have to fill in the required data and click on the button "Register". There will be an internal leaderboard, which is not linked to the CrossFit Open. You also have the possibility to choose your preferred time slot(s) for performing each workout. With the time preferences in mind, we will create heat lists that will be uploaded onto our website by 20:00 evening on every Friday. This will allow you to check the start time of your workout and who your judge will be. We need you to judge each other in order to have enough judges available. So calculate enough time to perform the workout and judge an other person. Important to know: The workout for each week is released on Thursday’s at 5 p.m. PT (Friday 02:00 a.m. Swiss time). Each time a workout is released, athletes will be given two versions to choose from: Rx'd and Scaled. However, scores for the Scaled category will always be ranked below scores of the Rx’d category. In addition, members of the age of 40 and above will have the chance to compete in Masters-category, which will also have an Rx’d or Scaled option. Warm up prior to each workout should be performed independently, as there will not be common group warm up. Movement standards will be explained at the beginning of each time slot.
The score submission deadline is always on Monday at 5 p.m. PT (Tuesday 02:00 a.m. Swiss time). Late submissions of scores will not be accepted. The registration deadline for the RCFZ Open Throwdown will be the 24th of February.

The Open is upon us.
The CrossFit Games Open is the world's premier test of fitness. Since 2011, the five-
week five-workout online competition has accurately ranked the fitness of thousands
of competitors. The Open is designed to be accessible to athletes of all levels, while
being rigorous enough to challenge the world’s fittest.
As part of the Open, Reebok CrossFit Zürich will host its own Open Throwdown.
The Open Throwdown is an internal competition designed to offer a chance for all the
members of RCFZ to test their level of fitness against their peers.
It all starts on February 23th 2017.
In order to compete in the 2017 CrossFit Open a registration is required on the
official 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games website: www.games.crossfit.com. The
registration allows you to create an account and enter your scores into the
leaderboard system. After submitting your scores you will be able to track your
results and compare yourself with other athletes from all over the world. The
registration fee is 20 USD. If you sign up for the Open we kindly ask you to do the judges course so that we have enough certified judges available.
