Getting Started
-
No. Our Essentials classes are designed for complete beginners, and our coaches adapt every movement to your level. You can start this week, with no prior experience needed.
-
You have three easy ways in. Start with Essentials and train right away. Book a Kickstart if you want to move into full CrossFit classes. Or try a single class first with a CrossFit Trial before you decide. All three are explained below.
-
Kickstart is our guided entry for anyone who wants to train full CrossFit. It begins with a one hour assessment with a coach (CHF 145). Together you decide how many sessions you need before joining classes. Most people are ready after about three sessions, including the assessment, and each session is CHF 145. Your first two sessions come with one free membership week. After that you can either start training in Essentials right away, or go straight into full CrossFit once your sessions are done.
-
Essentials is the low barrier way to start. No assessment, no intro, no waiting. You join selected classes right away: HYROX and Conditioning, Strength, Handstand Basics, Kettlebell (some experience needed) and Mobility. It is ideal if you are motivated, short on time, and learn best by doing. Memberships start from CHF 220 per month.
-
Yes. If you would like to experience a real CrossFit class before booking your Kickstart assessment, you can book a one time CrossFit Trial. No experience needed. It costs CHF 35 for the session. Please note that the CrossFit Trial is a one off and is not credited toward a membership.
-
Essentials gets you training immediately, with no assessment, in a selected set of classes. Kickstart is the coach guided path for those who want full CrossFit access, including barbell, Olympic lifting and gymnastics. It starts with a one hour assessment that maps out how many sessions you need before joining CrossFit classes.
-
Yes. If you have around eight weeks or more of CrossFit experience at a CrossFit affiliate, you do not need an intro. Simply pick your membership and join any class on the schedule.
HYROX
-
Yes. CrossFit Zürich is officially HYROX affiliated. We run HYROX classes almost every day, our programming builds toward real races, and we hold regular race simulations. We also travel to races together as a group, for example HYROX Geneva this October, coach led.
-
Absolutely. Many of our members start with zero race experience and build up with us over time.
-
Yes. You can train all eight HYROX stations on the same equipment you race on: Concept2 SkiErgs and rowers, dedicated sled lanes with official HYROX sleds, official HYROX sandbags, kettlebells in race weights, wall balls in all race weights, and open space for burpee broad jumps and running.
Drop-ins and Visiting
-
Yes, visitors are welcome. Choose an Essentials Drop-in if you have no experience (this includes HYROX, strength and conditioning), or a CrossFit Drop-in if you have eight weeks or more of CrossFit experience. A drop-in is CHF 35 and is credited toward your membership if you sign up afterward.
-
CHF 35 per class. If you join as a member afterward, that CHF 35 is credited toward your membership. Coming for several days? Punch cards are available in different sizes.
Membership and Pricing
-
Memberships start from CHF 220 per month. You choose your weekly frequency: 3x, 5x, 7x or Unlimited. Punch cards are available for irregular schedules. The same price grid applies to both Essentials and Gold memberships.
-
The difference is access, not price. Essentials gives you selected classes and lets you start without an assessment. Gold gives you full access to CrossFit WOD, Olympic Weightlifting and Gymnastics, and requires a completed Kickstart or around eight weeks of prior CrossFit experience.
-
All classes are booked through our online booking system. Once you are a member you can reserve your spot for any class on the schedule.

Our team of nine coaches is CrossFit Level 1 to 3 certified, with 5 to 15 years of coaching experience each. Several compete at the highest levels of the sport, including Swiss Weightlifting Championship medalists, a Swiss record holder, and coaches with international CrossFit competition experience. This is a team that does not just teach the sport, they compete in it.
